Program Site Coordinator After School Program - 2024/2025
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Program Director and Assistant Director, the Program Site Coordinator will supervise and manage the program at the school level.
SUPERVISION:
The Program Site Coordinator supervises the Teachers, Assistants, and Volunteers.
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions or duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.
- The Site Coordinator, in consultation with the Assistant Director and Director of Childcare Services, shall coordinate, supervise, manage, and be responsible for the After School and Summer Programs at the building level.
- Ensure the program is in compliance with EEC regulations as well as policies of the Burlington Public Schools.
- Oversee the implementation of curriculum ensuring high quality activities that are age appropriate and meet the diversity of all of our students.
- Ensure that the daily programs and schedules are implemented and report back to the Directors on effectiveness.
- Responsible for ensuring that the developmental needs of every student are met.
- Responsible for recruitment and ensuring appropriate training of teachers, assistants, and aides.
- Ensure student safety and follow appropriate emergency protocols.
- Ensure adequate assignments and schedules in conjunction with appropriate student to teacher ratios.
- Administrative duties such as maintaining current enrollment and daily attendance records; screening and directing calls record keeping; etcetera.
- Assistance with staff and program evaluation as well as the annual registration process.
- Keep the Directors apprised of the effectiveness of the program at the site.
- Coordinate communication with parents of program participants.
- Maintain accurate information on student program participants.
- Participate in professional development, including trainings, meetings, and workshops.
- Attend Site Coordinator Meetings
- Maintain a cooperative relationship with school employees and work collaboratively for the needs of students.
- Work with the directors to maintain the program budget.
- Understanding of children’s developmental stages
- Any other duties as required by the Director of Childcare Services.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Minimum five years experience working with school age children.
- Familiar with EEC regulations
- Experience in faculty recruitment and screening preferred.
- Experience in developing children’s program development and enrichment programs.
The qualifications listed above are preferential to the duties and responsibilities as listed in the job description, but may be waived at the discretion of the Superintendent of Schools.
WORK SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:
Work schedule 35 hours per week, schedule to be determined
Salary range from $50,000 to $63,000 dependant on education and experience
